Fan Girl Fashion: Introducing Haley Robinson

Haley Robinson is a fashion creator based in Washington State whose truly authentic content blends all types of media. From “What I Wore This Week” to character-inspired outfits and street-style videos like “What People Wore to Sweat Tour Seattle,” she blends storytelling, pop culture, and fashion into something entirely her own. What began as a background in community theater evolved into a full-time content career; fueled by her love for dressing up and an eye for visual storytelling. Haley’s videos don’t just showcase outfits; they celebrate self-expression, encourage individuality, and continue to reshape what fashion can look like online.

Where It All Began: First Steps in Creativity

Many people say that if you want to make it as a content creator, you need to be in LA or New York. But Haley, based out of Washington, has built a career for herself right from her bedroom. “I’ve lived in Washington state my entire life, and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without growing up here,” she says. She initially got her start in local community theater, but during COVID, restrictions limited her ability to express herself creatively. That’s when she began posting fashion content. She joked with her family that she was going to be TikTok famous and just a couple of weeks later, her first video went viral.

What If the Fangirl Was the Muse?

“Fangirls” are a vital part of media culture, and Haley Robinson is an important voice in showing what it truly means to be passionate about something. Through her videos showcasing concert outfits, she brings fan-driven fashion into the broader fashion conversation, highlighting the creativity, attention to detail, and dedication that go into every look. Her content doesn’t just entertain; it validates concert fashion as a serious and expressive form of style. These fans spend hours crafting their outfits; drawing inspiration from an artist’s branding, referencing lyrics, recreating looks, or visually representing the emotion of an album. There’s something deeply special about a night where you can fully step into a world built by the music you love, and Haley captures that feeling perfectly. What makes this content so authentic is Haley’s connection to fan culture:

“I’m actually a fangirl myself! I wouldn’t have my job if I weren’t constantly inspired by music, movies, and pop culture. I think it’s a unique perspective being on both sides of fan culture in general.”

Blending Fashion, Film, and Music

Not only does Haley create videos showcasing fans, she also produces content inspired by albums, such as “Outfits Inspired by the Pop Girls” and “Outfits Inspired by the Taylor Swift It Girls.” This transforms an auditory medium into something visual; people connect with her content because she brings their vision to life. It’s like seeing characters you once read about in a book now portrayed by the perfect cast in a movie; it adds to the art and creates a strong sense of connection. Haley’s content mixes storytelling, pop culture, and fashion into something entirely her own, making each video feel immersive and meaningful.

Favorite Character

Her favorite character to dress as is Rory Gilmore, especially with the fall-inspired outfits and early 2000s aesthetic. Gilmore Girls is her favorite TV show, and she loves combining Rory’s signature style with her own. The outfits feature earthy tones like browns, greens, and navy blue. She incorporates personal touches while still drawing inspiration from Rory’s youthful look; think Converse sneakers, school uniforms, and headbands. Even the audio in her videos is pulled from the show, fully immersing viewers in the Gilmore Girls atmosphere.

Connecting with an Audience

Haley connects with her audience not only through videos but also in person. She recalls a moment from Charli XCX & Troye Sivan’s Sweat Tour in 2024, where she ran into two girls who “were just the sweetest. Their vibe was infectious and totally hyped us up before an amazing concert! They even took pictures of my mom and me!” Later that year, she ran into them again at Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet tour—and they’ve become great friends. “I always look for them at every concert I go to,” she says.

At the heart of everything, Haley Robinson hopes to inspire others.

“I hope it gives people inspiration to try new styles and also embrace who they are. I think it’s important for people to explore what makes them feel good in their own skin. My goal is to create content that feels relatable, uplifting, and safe to wear what you like.”
